Frequently asked

What is Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR)?

Fine Hotels + Resorts is American Express’s luxury hotel booking program for Platinum and Centurion cardholders. Booking an FHR property gets you daily breakfast for two, a room upgrade when available, guaranteed 4pm late checkout, noon check-in when available, and a unique on-property credit (commonly $100) — on top of your regular room rate, with no minimum-night requirement.

How is The Hotel Collection (THC) different from FHR?

The Hotel Collection is Amex’s second tier of hotel benefits. It requires a two-night minimum stay and delivers a room upgrade plus a $100 property credit, but not the daily breakfast that FHR includes. Both draw on the same annual Amex hotel credit, so you never double-count them.

What is Chase’s The Edit?

The Edit by Chase Travel is the Sapphire Reserve’s luxury hotel collection: daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, room upgrades, and a Points Boost on bookings, with a two-night minimum. Many properties appear in FHR and The Edit at once, so you can choose whichever card gives you the best credit.

Do I need to log in to a portal to browse these hotels?

No. This directory pulls every participating property into public, crawlable pages so you can plan a trip and compare the perks each card unlocks before you ever sign in to book.
